Gaza's Ministry of Health reports that the death toll has surpassed 34,000

After more than six months of fighting between Israel and Palestinian militants, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to at least 34,012, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Friday.

According to the ministry, 42 Palestinians have lost their lives as a result of Israeli attacks in the past 24 hours.

It said that during the same time period, an additional 63 persons had sustained injuries, bringing the total number of wounded in the Gaza Strip since the start of the conflict to 76,833.
