US Senate intelligence committee "confident" rocket launch failed, not Israeli strike destroyed hospital
The top Democrats and Republicans on the US Senate's Select Committee on Intelligence are "confident" that "militant terrorists" launched a failed rocket that exploded in a Gaza hospital on Tuesday.
Wednesday, Senate Intelligence Chair Mark Warner and Vice Chair Marco Rubio said:
The Senate Intelligence Committee analyzed Gaza hospital attack intelligence. We are convinced that a militant terrorist rocket launch failed and caused the explosion, not an Israeli airstrike.”
More explosion info: The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported hundreds of deaths in the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital blast in Gaza. Israel claims an Islamic Jihad rocket caused the attack, while Palestinian officials blame Israel.
After President Joe Biden said a Palestinian militant group was behind the hospital blast, the National Security Council said Israel “is not responsible” for it.
