The UN says 20 humanitarian supply trucks enter Gaza on Monday
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reports that on Monday, twenty trucks bearing humanitarian relief crossed the Rafah border into Gaza.
OCHA said in a statement on Monday that ten trucks were transporting food, medication, and water supplies for the UN. According to the UN spokeswoman, the remaining 10 trucks had supplies from the Egyptian Red Crescent.
According to the statement, 34 trucks carrying supplies that could save lives were able to enter Gaza on Saturday and Sunday. That represents less than 4 percent of the average daily supply of goods that entered Gaza before October 7.
Fuel has not been included in aid supplies to Gaza. Within the next two days, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), by far the biggest humanitarian organization in Gaza, will run out of gasoline, according to the statement.
