The UN reports that on Saturday, 61 trucks carried supplies to northern Gaza

The United Nations reports that 61 trucks, the most to enter the north since the October 7 Hamas strikes on Israel, brought food, water, and essential medical supplies to northern Gaza on Saturday.

In an effort to aid with evacuations on day two of the Hamas-Israel truce, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs stated in a statement on Saturday that 11 ambulances, 3 coaches, and a flatbed were sent to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

The UN reports that by 7 p.m. local time (12 p.m. ET), 200 trucks had crossed into Egypt via the Nitzana border crossing, while 187 vehicles had reached Gaza.

It was also reported that 129,000 liters of petroleum entered Gaza.

Earlier, the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) stated that it had sent the largest assistance convoy to Gaza City and the northern portions of the strip since October 7 after receiving 187 trucks from the Egyptian Red Crescent on Saturday.
