Honda is recalling 2.6 million cars due to a fuel pump malfunction

Due to the possibility of a fuel pump failure, Honda is recalling 2.6 million cars, SUVs, vans, and pickup trucks in the US. Should that occur while operating the vehicle, power may abruptly be lost.

For the same problem, Honda recalled over 620,000 vehicles in 2021. Many new cars that were excluded from the previous recall two years ago are part of this most recent one.

The 2019 and 2020 Honda Accord, 2019 Honda Odyssey, 2019 Honda Pilot, 2019 Honda Ridgeline, and numerous other Honda and Acura models are among the models that are being recalled. Honda's luxury brand is Acura.

Owners of the vehicles will be asked to take it to a Honda or Acura dealer to have the fuel pump changed for free. Owner notifications from Honda will start in early February. Honda released a statement saying that there aren't enough parts on hand to fix every vehicle involved at once. As parts become available, owners will receive separate waves of notifications to bring their cars in for repair, according to Honda.

By entering their vehicle identification number (VIN) at www.recalls.acura.com or www.recalls.honda.com, owners of Honda and Acura vehicles can also determine if their car is included in the recall.
