Teddi Mellencamp says her cancer is now Stage 4 after metastasizing to the lungs and brain

Teddi Mellencamp, a former reality TV star, said that her skin cancer has progressed to Stage 4 after doctors discovered tumors on her lungs and brain that necessitated surgery this year.
Mellencamp, who formerly appeared on Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," informed fans in February that she required emergency brain surgery after scans revealed numerous tumors. She subsequently revealed that the melanoma she was diagnosed with in 2022 had metastasized, and two tumors were discovered on her lungs.

The "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star revealed in a social media post this week that her melanoma diagnosis had advanced to stage 4.
Mellencamp thanked her followers in a video for their "many kind messages" after being originally diagnosed and treated for skin cancer in 2022.
“I just want to say thank you guys so much. So many messages about how strong I am. And I gotta tell you, some days I feel really really strong and some days I feel really really sad and alone,” Mellencamp said. “And I think that’s a normal part of what any of us are going through, and that’s okay. Stage 4 cancer can be scary.”
Last month, she posted on Instagram about her therapy.
“Update from my scans today: I have multiple tumors in my brain that weren’t able to be removed via surgery. I also have 2 tumors in my lung,” she wrote at the time. “These are all metastases of my melanoma.”
Mellencamp, a health coach and podcast presenter, informed her social media followers in February that she underwent emergency brain surgery to remove malignancies.
Mellencamp departed "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" after three seasons, although she maintains she is still close to other cast mates. She thanked celebrity Kyle Richards for directing her to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center while she was suffering from horrible headaches.
Richards has been there for her "nonstop," Mellencamp told Us Weekly. She also stated that her family is in therapy to assist her process her medical issues.
Her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, has returned to their house to assist care for their children, she added.
"And I’m really lucky that Edwin, who I was in the middle of a divorce from, we put everything on hold. ... That’s made things a lot easier," she said.
Melanoma, according to the American Cancer Society, is "a type of skin cancer that develops when melanocytes (the cells that give the skin its tan or brown color) start to grow out of control."
