According to British actor Idris Elba, he is a "complete workaholic" who is receiving therapy to address "unhealthy habits."
In a Monday podcast interview, Elba said he has been seeing a therapist for approximately a year. He was speaking to the "Changes with Annie Macmanus" podcast.
He remarked, "I've been thinking a lot about changing in my therapy." It has nothing to do with the fact that I don't like who I am. Simply said, some bad habits of mine have developed recently.
"I work in a field where my unhealthy habits are rewarded," Elba continued. "I'm a workaholic." I'm a total workaholic. And, in general, that isn't good for life. Nothing is beneficial if it is too severe. Everything requires harmony.
According to the Emmy-nominated actor, his line of work rewards "someone who can go, 'I'm not going to see my family for six months.'" And I’m in there grinding and making a new family and then leave them.”
Though he joked that there was no way he could work any less, he talked about needing to "adjust" those pathways.
