Bob Bryar, a former My Chemical Romance drummer, died at 44
Former My Chemical Romance drummer Bob Bryar, 44, was discovered dead at his Tennessee home only two days before Thanksgiving.
According to TMZ, his cause of death has not been revealed, and it is unclear who discovered him.
According to the publication, his corpse was 'badly decayed' when discovered, and Animal Control arrived at the property to take away his two dogs.
Authorities do not suspect 'foul play' because all of his 'weapons and music equipment in the residence were left intact.'
A medical examiner is looking into the cause and manner in which the rock singer died at this time.
Bryar was last seen alive on November 4.
He was the group's longest-tenured and last official drummer, serving from 2004 until 2010.
Bob originally met the My Chemical Romance band while traveling with The Used in 2004, after formally replacing MCR's former drummer Matt Pelissier.
This occurred not long after My Chemical Romance released their 2004 album Cheers For Sweet Revenge. Since then, Bob has served as MCR's official drummer, performing on the band's 2006 album The Black Parade and writing songs for their 2010 album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. Bob had left MCR shortly before the release of Danger Days to work with other bands, finally declaring his departure from the music industry to pursue a career in real estate.
On March 3, 2010, guitarist Frank Lero announced that Bryar had quit the band.
'As of 4 weeks ago, My Chemical Romance and Bob Bryar parted ways. This was a painful decision for all of us to make and was not taken lightly. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and expect you all to do the same,' he wrote on a statement shared to their official website.
Since leaving MCR, Bob has had suicide thoughts several times. Although MCR was set to perform in 2025, Bob was not going to return and reconnect with the band.
