The inquiry into Biden's confidential documents, according to the attorney general, is over
On Wednesday, Attorney General Merrick Garland informed congressional leaders that special counsel Robert Hur has completed his investigation into classified documents discovered at President Joe Biden's home and office.
Garland mentioned that Hur is coordinating with the White House regarding potential redactions due to potential executive privilege before releasing the report to the public.
Hur delivered his final report to Garland on Monday. Additionally, Garland noted that the special counsel has been in communication with the White House Counsel's Office and the President's personal counsel to solicit feedback on the report.
In late 2022, classified documents were found at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement by one of the president's personal attorneys. The president utilized the center as an office following his tenure as vice president, and the documents appeared to date back to the Obama administration.
