Israel recalls diplomats from Turkey
Following Turkey's condemnation of Israel's ongoing military actions in Gaza, all Israeli diplomatic personnel have been called back from Turkey.
Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen announced on Saturday that Israeli-Turkish relations will be reevaluated in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Given the grave statements coming from Turkey, I have ordered the return of diplomatic representatives there in order to conduct a reevaluation of the relations between Israel and Turkey,” Cohen wrote.
strikes on Gaza "have long passed the point of being self-defense," according to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who also stated on Thursday that the strikes are now "oppression, atrocity, massacre, and barbaric."
Erdogan advised the gathering of pro-Palestinian demonstrators in Istanbul on Saturday to depart "with the determination to never allow new Gazas to arise."
