Grimes challenges Elon Musk's parental rights in court

Pleading for her right to parenthood, singer-songwriter Grimes filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk last week, according to a court docket. Grimes is married to the billionaire mogul.

A petition to establish a parental relationship was filed in San Francisco Superior Court on Friday by the Canadian musician, whose legal name is Claire Boucher.

There is a notice of alternative dispute resolution methods filed that same day, but court documents for the case are not available.

A daughter named Exa Dark Siderael Musk was born in 2021 through surrogacy, following the first son named X Æ A-12 that Musk and Grimes had together. She calls them "X" and "Y."

In a Walter Isaacson biography of Musk, it was disclosed in September that the couple also had a third child together. A book review in the New York Times identified the child as a boy named Techno Mechanicus, who was referred to as Tau.
