After Kansas City shooting, Kamala Harris urges Congress to implement “reasonable gun safety laws”
Following Wednesday's shooting incident that occurred after a parade celebrating the Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs, Vice President Kamala Harris urged members of Congress to enact "sensible gun safety legislation."
“The reality of it is a lot of this can be prevented if members of legislatures, including the United States Congress, just have the courage to act with reasonable gun safety law,” Harris told reporters at Joint Base Andrews before stepping aboard Air Force 2 en route to the Munich Security Conference.
Additionally, Harris expressed her thoughts and prayers for those impacted by the shooting.
