2 shot inside Arlington apartment building, one victim a minor

According to the Arlington County Police Department, two persons were hospitalized Saturday night after being shot inside a Crystal City apartment complex. One of the victims was under the age of 18.

Arlington County police reported that two persons were injured and transported to nearby hospitals, including an adolescent kid with critical injuries. According to initial accounts, the gunshot occurred at a party at the Crystal Towers Apartments on 1600 S. Eads Street, causing many people to run.

Several individuals were arrested and questioned by cops. The gunman remained at large as of 10 p.m.

“Police remain on scene investigating the circumstances of the shooting,” ACPD said via social media.

Police have cordoned off the 1600 block of South Eads Street and advise the public to avoid the area while the investigation continues. Officers stated that injuries had been reported.
