After a protracted search that alarmed the entire state, the mass murder suspect in Maine has been found dead

The governor of Maine reports that a suspect believed to have killed eighteen people in a tavern and bowling alley has been discovered dead in Lisbon, Maine.

Maine Gov. Janet Mills acknowledged his passing during a new conference on Friday night.

According to the commissioner of the Maine Department of Public Safety, Card was discovered close to the Androscoggin River about 7:45 p.m. He refused to give a precise address.

After a two-day search that rattled the whole state of Maine, the guy wanted in the mass shooting at a bowling alley and bar that left 18 people dead and 13 injured was discovered dead on Friday.

In a Facebook post, the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office declared that the shooter "has been located and is deceased," confirming Card's passing.
