In a Colorado mall shooting on Christmas Eve, one man dies and three are injured

On Christmas Eve, gunfire at a Colorado shopping center killed a man and injured three others, police said Sunday.

In a series of posts on X, the Colorado Springs Police Department said officers responded to a gunshot report after an afternoon fight at the Citadel Mall.

Police said one adult male was shot at the scene and died, and two others were taken to hospitals in serious condition.

A woman was hospitalized with minor injuries.

Police detained “multiple people” and were “working to determine their involvement.”

The mall was cleared and closed, and police reported no community threat.
