Netanyahu warns that Israel's conflict with Hamas "could be a long war"
According to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the conflict between his nation and Hamas "could be a long war."
On October 8, a day after the terrorist organization carried out a horrific terror attack on Israel that claimed the lives of over 1,400 people, Israel formally declared war on Hamas.
Speaking alongside French President Emmanuel Macron at a press conference in Jerusalem on Tuesday, Netanyahu emphasized that if Hamas is not defeated, "we will all lose."
Additionally, he repeated Macron's admonition to Hezbollah, the Islamist terrorist group backed by Iran that rules southern Lebanon, to stay out of the conflict. Hezbollah would "regret" becoming involved in the fight, he claimed.
"I hope they heed our warning. They will suffer horrible consequences," he said.
