Health ministry reports 20 killed and 155 injured by Israeli fire in Gaza City while waiting for relief

According to the Palestinian health ministry in Gaza, Israeli shelling has resulted in the deaths of at least 20 individuals and left 155 others injured while civilians were gathered in Gaza City awaiting food assistance.

The health ministry in Gaza has accused Israeli forces of deliberately attacking a group of civilians who were awaiting humanitarian aid at the Kuwaiti roundabout in Gaza, where aid distribution trucks are commonly stationed, attracting crowds of people in need.

Furthermore, the health ministry stated that local hospitals were overwhelmed and ill-equipped to handle the influx of injured individuals.

Mahmoud Basal, the spokesperson for Gaza Civil Defense, also attributed the attack to Israel in a statement issued late Thursday.
