Frontman of Smash Mouth Steve Harwell passes away at 56

Former Smash Mouth frontman Steve Harwell has passed away. The group was nominated for a Grammy. He was 56.

Harwell "passed peacefully and comfortably" on Monday morning at his Boise, Idaho, home, according to the band's manager Robert Hayes. According to a statement by Hayes, acute liver failure was the cause of death.

The songs "All Star" and "Then The Morning Comes" by Smash Mouth were among their best-known songs.
