After being bit by a rattlesnake in Florida, an Amazon driver is in a critical condition
Authorities say that a rattlesnake bit a woman who was delivering packages for Amazon at a home in Palm City, Florida. The woman was badly hurt.
In a statement released Tuesday, the Martin County Sheriff's Office said, "The woman who was bitten by a snake was taken to the hospital, where she is in very serious condition."
The office said that an eastern diamondback rattlesnake was curled up near the front door and bit the driver as she put down the package on Monday.
It said that the worker, who was not named, had been bitten in the back of the leg, just above the knee. The sheriff's office said, "She got ill right away."
The sheriff's office said that when she called 911, dispatchers used the GPS data on her phone to find her.
The sheriff's office said that eastern diamondback rattlesnakes are common in the area and are "highly poisonous."
