At least 11 people are hurt in a downtown Fort Worth, Texas explosion

Monday's explosion in Fort Worth, Texas, caused numerous injuries and left huge portions of a building scattered over the road in the center of the downtown section of the city.

A Fort Worth Fire Department spokesman, Craig Trojacek, stated that the explosion that occurred at the Sandman Signature Fort Worth Downtown Hotel resulted in at least 11 injuries. The city's convention center and municipal hall are also close to the hotel.

“We are currently working a Major Incident. Please avoid the downtown area,” the Fort Worth Police Department said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. “PIOs are on scene. We will share more details as soon as we can confirm more information.”
