According to the Israel Prison Service, 39 Palestinian inmates were freed as part of the hostage deal

As per the terms of the hostage arrangement, thirty-nine Palestinian prisoners were released, the Israel Prison Service declared on Friday evening.

According to the prison service, the Palestinian women and minors were freed from three prisons: Damon, Megiddo, and Ofer.

"Tonight we finished the first day of our mission to bring the hostages home. We will continue in the coming days to take any necessary action to support this national effort," the head of the Israel Prison Service Katy Perry said in a statement.
