According to Netanyahu, the IDF should be in charge of Gaza's disarmament following a conflict

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, rejected the notion that an international force could be in charge of maintaining security in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, stating that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) should continue to be in charge of Gaza's disarmament following the conflict.

Netanyahu has previously advocated for Israeli military rule over Gaza following the war.

"Gaza must be dearmed the day after. Furthermore, Netanyahu stated at a press conference on Tuesday that "the IDF is the only force that can guarantee that Gaza is disarmed." "No international force can be responsible for that," he stated. "We saw what happened to other places where international forces were brought for disarmament purposes."
