Police shot and killed an armed student at Mount Horeb Middle School
Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul reported that an armed student was shot and killed by law officers outside Mount Horeb Middle School on Wednesday morning.
Before the student could even reach the school, he was killed. Apart from stating that the suspect was a male minor, Kaul failed to identify the student or provide his age.
There is a current investigation. According to Kaul, the cops engaged in the incident wore body cams.
First responders at Mount Horeb Middle School were recognized for their efforts by representatives of the Village of Mount Horeb and the Mount Horeb Area Chamber of Commerce in a joint statement.
"Due to safety precautions taken by our Schools, the shooter was never able to enter the building," officials said. "The collaboration and coordination between our community's first responders and School District exemplified the highest standards of professionalism and dedication."
