3 killed, 10 injured in Arkansas grocery store shooting
In a press conference on Friday, the Arkansas State Police said that three persons had died and ten others had been injured in a shooting at a grocery store in Fordyce, Arkansas.
At 11:38 a.m. local time on Friday, Arkansas State Police responded to the Mad Butcher grocery shop. Authorities claimed that after they arrived, the lone suspect and the officers exchanged gunfire. According to authorities, the shooter sustained injuries and was brought into custody; the suspect's wounds are not thought to be life-threatening.
According to authorities, the eight injured citizens' wounds ranged from non-life-threatening to critically injured. Among the ten injured are two law enforcement officers.
"I have been briefed on the tragic shooting in Fordyce, and I'm in constant contact with State Police at the scene. I am thankful to law enforcement and first responders for their quick and heroic action to save lives. My prayers are with the victims and all those impacted by this," Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on social media.
